I tried to write a poem
But my pen ran out of ink
The neighbors wrecked my home
I simply couldn't think
The bills continue to pile
The sun will not quit shining
These words have no style
Why do I keep trying?
The dog continues barking
It's distracting to my brain
This paper has no markings
This is really such a strain

I don't know what I'm saying
But words are coming out
While I just keep praying
They make sense read aloud
These words are not inspired
By any type of feeling
There's no guidelines required
Nor any type of healing
This poem has no goal
And no ending in sight
I'm sure it's full of holes

The tenderness that's herWith every word written, with every word spoken
I try my best to express myself, without it being broken
For what I feel is deep in my heart, is love that I want to be showing
Every day it develops, every day I feel more loving

Is the tenderness of passion, which I’ve never felt before
A feeling that I got from a girl who I truly adore
Beautiful as a rose and gentle as a peaceful dove
My heart gets filled with warmth, a feeling I describe as love

She’s the most beautiful girl I’ve seen, that’s as simple as I can be
So very cute and filled with joy, she’s the only girl who I want to see
Her adorable smile that

My faults
My everything

I sit in bed and cry
Not because of what they say hurts
Because it does
But because I'm not appreciated

I'm alone
Wondering down a path
Called life
I try my best
But nothing works
I don't eat because I'm "too fat"
I listen to my music loud to block all the words
Those words that will stick in my head
Make me cut again

I don't want that
I just want to be freed
I feel so trapped
I cant explain it

I begin to have feelings for someone
They aren't ever mutual
I sit and realise
Once again my hopes ar

Stop Peeing on DDsRude comments on DDs aren't always about the actual feature.
There's no question that the worst thing you can do on a DD is go on and on about how it didn't deserve it, blah blah blah et cetera. The artist had nothing to do with the decision so go to the FAQs and stop being a little bitch. If you can take the time to whine, you can take a little extra to do it properly. :faq873:
I welcome all concerns addressed directly to me. I expect it, rather.
But anyway, this isn't a rant about that. It's a rant about something more insidious: the attitude that DDs are the only thing worth looking at in the whole fucking category.
I'm not directly quoting anyone, but the following is a sample of stuff I've seen. (This is vaguer and a bit nicer than most of it, I'm not that good at being all down with the pointless hating. But the 'I don't read' comments don't give me warm fuzzies either, y'know?)

I was angry then, hurting badly
I wondered if I was in some way inadequate

I guarantee everyone is a poet
But I am willing to bet not many know it
Forming a poem is a simple task
Just string words on paper that seem to mask
Your hidden feelings on a certain subject
Or how you wish this world could be perfect

Not all poems have to be deep in meaning
And indeed even the simplest poems can be quite deceiving
This poem for example exists
Without any misdirection or twists
The focus of this poem is to provide
A helpful little guide
On how to write the absolute best
And bring out the skills everyone does possess

You closed the door
You blocked out the light
You weren't with us anymore

For so long it was just us three
Then mom grew ill
She let go of my my hand
Sickness won over will

We cried that night
There was sorrow and then some
The funeral was the next day
You didn't even come

We trained so hard
To once more see her face
You are not welcome here
You're a disgrace

Your intentions may have been pure
